What should I check when renting a car?

License plates

In Rodrigues Island, as in Mauritius, the vehicles rented all have yellow number plates at the front and rear. This implies that the vehicles are legal with the authorities and insured for a car rental activity.

Awards

The price including VAT, is applicable for a period of 24 hours.
For example, for year N, from November 1st 12h00 to November 4th 12h00, we have 3 periods of 24 hours, i.e. 3 days.

State of play

In order to avoid any dispute, you will have two assessment of your vehicle:

• upon delivery
• to restitution.

Restitution

In order to avoid overcharging, you must return the vehicle with the same fuel level and in the same condition as when delivered.
